About me
I am Maryam
An author, educator, and instructional designer
but at heart a life explorer
I never planned to become a writer.
I simply lived my own way.
It became my calling.
I have traveled and lived in different countries. It gave me the chance to meet people with diverse lifestyles. I enjoy observing them and sensing how they experience life. In every place, I saw a reflection of myself.
I have done different things. They gave me the chance to come up with new ideas by connecting experiences and seeing something as something else. In every experience, I found a reflection of myself.
This journey has been fruitful:
- Designed and published an aesthetic mathematical experience, during my Master’s studies in Education (Curriculum Studies).
- Created and patented an agility trainer in sports field, while I was a badminton player and pursuing my Master’s degree in Physical Education.
- Contributed to the development of Cibleball, a new sport for blind people, applying my knowledge of patenting to support Cibleball.
Some fruits were quiet feelings and insights that had not yet taken visible form. Now, I want to give them shape through stories I share with you.
I am inspired by phenomenological approach. Through my stories, I explore how we can pause our adult assumptions, and see the world with a child’s eyes- seeing things before naming them, seeing things as they are.
My stories are for both adults and children. On the surface, they are simple and engaging, ready to capture a child’s imagination. Beneath the surface, they carry deeper messages—waiting for anyone willing to look closer to see.
I’d love to hear back your stories if my stories resonates with you.
